The IMUA is more than just a membership organization, it provides its members with comprehensive training and educational programs. These programs can include new articles, research papers, seminars, industry analysis, webinars, and education on the impact of legislative and regulatory issues. The members of the IMUA represent over 90 percent of inland marine premium writers.

There are several types of membership with the Inland Marine Underwriters Association. Regular member companies are directly involved with writing inland marine business. These are typically insurance and reinsurance companies. Associate members are service organizations that are involved in some way with underwriting. For example, this can include brokers, agents, claims, education, law firms, or other support services. Individual producers or brokers can also join the IMUA without having to pay the dues or assessments.

Randi Glazer has seen the benefits of being a member of the IMUA. She likes being actively involved in the organization.
